Jimmy Dewitt – Head Mechanic
Jimmy started his career with Childs Landscape in 2010. He has over 40 years as a master mechanic working on all kinds of equipment from Train Diesel engines to weed eaters. If it has an engine or a gear Jimmy has probably worked on one of its kind at some time during his career. Jimmy is responsible for keeping all of the Childs Landscape equipment, no matter how large or small, operating at peak performance. He is well versed in DOT compliance. Jimmy started his love of engines when he was wee high taking apart anything he could to figure out how it worked. This also forced him to figure out how to put it back together again under the angry glare of his parents. In his spare time Jimmy restores old vehicles. He is known to be a Chevy man but has ventured away when enticed. He hates to throw anything away. That item might help to put something else back together again one day. His father taught him to do it right the first time as there will never be time enough to do it again. Jimmy has lived by this advice his whole career.
